In Fire We Trust

It has been a while since i wrote here but it had been for a good reason. I was experimenting with wordpress and its massive number of pluggins. Well the experiments are over (for now) and here are the results. I will tell you what plugins i use and why do i use them. Hope it helps someone.

From the standart plugins i am using:

• Akismet - say Bye to spam
• WordPress DB Backup - quite usefull one

Also i am using these ones (not all have visual effects):

• Bot Allow Content - the basic idea is to allow predefined search engine bots, which use RSS/Atom to harvest info, to get the whole content of a story and not just the short version
• GeSHi - code highlighting. Prety usefull if you decide to put some code on the web. Do someone have a scheme for Bind (preferably 9 Ето я)
• paged-comment-editing-plugin - Comment edditing in pages. Still haven’t been used but it’s time will come.
• Polyglot - for multilanguage content. Has a few quircks but is usefull. As a side note i had to hack it a bit so it works as expected.
• Search Reloaded - Better Search. People say it is good but i haven’t noticed.
• Sidebar Widgets - For easy sidebar reordering. Quite usefull at least for me.
• Sociable - adds links to social bookmarking services

Well i hope you like it. Someday i will have to change the theme, but … not today. If you haven’t noticed/cared i’ve changed the default language of the blog to english. If you are missing the bulgarian version … look up in the bar … there you can chose a language.
